Hi, I’m Monique Williams, founder of Cute Comfort By Monique.
I created Cute Comfort because I was tired of my feet hurting.
No matter where I went, if I wore almost anything besides tennis shoes, my feet would hurt — especially dress shoes. It didn’t matter how expensive the shoes were, after a while they became uncomfortable. I loved looking stylish and feminine, but I hated the pain that often came with it.
Then I discovered comfort-focused sandal brands like Volatile and realized something surprising; I could walk miles and miles in those sandals and still feel good. I had one favorite pair that I wore for years because they were just that comfortable.
That experience inspired me.
I started asking myself:
Why can’t comfortable shoes also be beautiful, classy, jazzy, sparkly, and fun?
Why do women always have to choose between fashion and comfort?
Then one day, I had a purse that I absolutely loved, but I could not find the perfect shoes to match it. No matter how hard I searched, finding stylish, comfortable shoes in the exact colors I wanted felt almost impossible.
So I decided to get creative.
I picked up some paint and began experimenting with my own shoes. Before long, I was repurposing and customizing shoes and purses to perfectly match one another. I started creating beautiful color combinations, especially for hard-to-find shades and styles that I personally wanted to wear.
Our Mission
I shared my first samples with my loving family, and they absolutely loved the products. One of my favorite cousins especially encouraged me. She told me, “Hey cousin, you must do this. This can be your new business.”
Her belief in me meant everything.
She became the first person to invest in my dream by providing me with a small seed grant to help me get started. As a small thank you, I created a matching purse and sandal set just for her that she absolutely loved it.
That moment gave me the confidence to truly believe in my vision.
That’s how Cute Comfort By Monique was born.
My goal is simple:
I want women to look good, feel good, sparkle a little, and still be comfortable enough to enjoy every step of their day.
Whether you’re heading to brunch, traveling, going to the spa, shopping, attending an event, or simply enjoying everyday life, you deserve shoes and accessories that make you feel both beautiful and comfortable.
